The two-way prepayment unit is a terminal unit in a prepayment configuration
of the Collectric™ system. This unit is a two-way unit receiving
and transmitting data over the Power Lines (PLC).
The Prepayment Unit deducts consumption from the stored credit; it updates
new credit from smart cards or card less, and disconnects the customer
when credit expires.
The Unit enables management of the power network.
In additional, the Unit operates simultaneously as a repeater, amplifying
signals transmitted by distant units towards the local concentrator,
via Power Lines.
An add-on version enables the upgrading of the one-way system
configuration with the two-way configuration features.
